New Release of Polymer PTC Thermistor "PRCP-RM series"
Tokyo, Japan - NIDEC COPAL ELECTRONICS CORP. released this month, new product of Polymer PTC Thermistor "PRCP-RM series" for over current protection, targeting for industrial equipment, information, communication equipment, power supply, HVAC, and motor.
We have been selling Polymer Resettable Circuit Protector "PRCP series" until now. To meet the requests of high voltage, we developed a high voltage Polymer PTC Thermistor as product series which has a high operating voltage.

Resettable feature with over temperature and over current protection can save expensive components from having to be replaced after tripping, e.g., transformers with built in thermal fuses.By big change in resistance due to an over current during short circuits and motor lock, this product prevents burnout of motor coil, the load of the circuit.
FEATURES
(1) Faster than bimetallic switch designs that take on average approximately
30 seconds to cool down and reset.
(2) Generally lower electromagnetic interference than bimetallic switches.
(3) Reduced repair and replacement costs.
(4) Combined over current and over temperature protector in one device.
